I just found out that Splash Mountain has lap bars. I have a big tummy due to having cancer and have had no problem fitting on the ride before. I was wondering if anyone can reassure me I won't have a problem now. This is one of my favorite rides.

    Hi Mary!

Unfortunately, I can't give you an absolute correct answer, but I don't believe you will have any problems.  The lap bars were really installed to prevent people from getting up in the middle of the ride and trying to walk around inside the mountain (it used to happen quite often).  They weren't installed to keep you from falling out during the drop, because the physics wouldn't allow that to happen anyways, and thus they really aren't that tight.  I really believe that anybody who could ride it before will still be able to ride it now without any additional problems, etc.

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
