Just found out I am pregnant so I will be about 6 months along in March when we go to our first Family Disney trip for 7 days. I have two boys 6 and 16 years old. no touring plans for this type of family. any suggestions to make it a smoother trip.

Wow, Jennifer! You've got a big age span of kids, and I certainly understand that!  Also, congratulations on your pregnancy.  Here are some things to keep in mind for all the various needs in your traveling party.  For your benefit, I would suggest staying on property.  It will be easier to go back to a Disney resort and rest while the rest of your guys stay in the parks and play if you don't have to worry about taking the car or taking another means of transportation to an off-site hotel.  Check out WDW Resorts to find just the right place for you.

Next, gather your guys around the computer and discover all there is to see and do at all four theme parks and two water parks.  Let the teenager and the little guy make a list of what they don't want to miss.  Then, when they're away from the house, take some time for yourself and list each day you're there. Plan on spending at least one day per theme park...possibly two for Magic Kingdom with a six year old!  (I always like to start off our vacations at MK and end them there as well.)  Then, go to Disney Dining to pick restaurants...I like to make Advanced Dining Reservations and allow that to dictate when I visit the other parks.  Some examples of what your little one might like are Chef Mickey's at The Contemporary Resort near MK and Donald's Safari Breakfast at Animal Kingdom.  Your teenager might like the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Disney's Hollywood Studios...just make sure he doesn't ride Rock n' Roller Coaster afterward!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. If you need some driving directions or flight suggestions from Alabama, I'd be happy to help!
