Hi, I just found out about movies under the stars. Are there any other good ideas for a 5 year old to go to other than the park?

    Hi Susan!

Movies Under the Stars at the Walt Disney World resorts is sort of a hidden gem that not a lot of guests know about.  At some resorts, the movie screen is near the pool, so the guests can splash around while watching one of their favorite Disney movies.

Miniature golf is another fun and inexpensive activity to do that a 5 year old would enjoy.  There are 3 mini-golf courses to choose from.

One of my favorite FREE activities to do is the Chip N' Dale Campfire Sing-a-long at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  This is set up just as it sounds with a good 'ole fashioned cowboy singing songs along with Chip and Dale.  You can have your picture taken with them as well!  There is a snack shop that sells 'smores kits that your family can roast over 2 fire pits.  This is definitely a huge hit with my family!  You can also take a horse drawn wagon ride at Fort Wilderness for a small charge and there are ponies to ride.

Headed to Downtown Disney one day?  There are dancing fountains that kids LOVE to run around and play in.  My son (almost 4) loves to play here while Mommy gets to go browse the shops.  They do get soaked, so plan on bringing a swim suit or a change of clothes.

    Have a magical day!
