Kilimanjaro Safari vehicle

I have found the list of rides that have an advisory for pregnant women. However, I noticed that the safari ride is on the "no-no" list. Is the choice left up to you or will they simply not allow you to ride?

    Hey there, Courtney!

There are a lot of attractions at Walt Disney World that are completely safe for pregnant women to ride on, but, as you've discovered, there are also attractions that are not recommended for women during pregnancy. The Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park is one of those attractions that is not recommended.

You will not be forbidden to ride. The recommendation is simply that - a recommendation. However, I will caution you that there are reasons for the recommendation. While the attraction seems like a very tame option, the safari vehicle can be quite bumpy, especially if you are seated further back in the vehicle. You may want to consult your maternal medicine specialist before taking the chance to ride.

I know of a couple of women who did opt to ride during their pregnancies, and both of them asked to wait until they could ride in the front of the safari vehicle. I personally haven't noticed a huge difference between the front and the back, but again, it is something you can discuss with your doctor or midwife.

Wishing you the most magical vacation, Courtney!
