    Whitney from GA Asked

I just found out I'm expecting my 2nd baby and would like to share the big news w/ our extended family during our WDW trip over Thanksgiving. Any suggestions on something special I could do to make the announcement?

    Hi Whitney,

Congratulations! I am so excited for you! We announced that I was pregnant to the Grandparents at WDW too & it was the perfect place to do it!

There are so many ways to do this. I'm not sure how old your 1st child is but I would include them in the announcement. Perhaps you could make dinner reservations at a special restaurant. Then take him/her to the restroom & have him/her come back wearing a shirt that says "I'm the big brother/sister" & see how long it takes them to figure it out.

You could also have the Disney Floral & Gift Department deliver a gift during your dinner announcing the big news. They create some amazing floral & gift baskets. You will need to have an advanced dining reservation in order to do this.

How about an evening on the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage? This is an amazing way to watch the fireworks & you could probably recruit Patch the Pirate to make an announcement just after the fireworks that there will be a new member added to your crew soon. There will be a chance for you to speak with him prior to boarding & you could also speak to the crew when you arrive for check-in.

The Wishes Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom offers a great view of the fireworks & some super yummy desserts which would provide a great setting for a sweet announcement. Reservations can be make by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

But it could be something as simple as riding "it's a small world" together & give them a little card at the end saying "but it is getting a little bigger".

Wish I could be there to see their faces when you make the announcement. No matter how you end up doing it, it promises to be magical. Let the memories begin :-) Allison
