Found out about the holiday sleigh rides at fort wilderness and signed up for one on our december vacation this year. Wondering if there is an opportunity to take pictures with horse and sleigh? Also is there a lot of christmas lights to look at? Thank You

Fort Wilderness during Christmas season is dressed up as much as Halloween. It makes for a perfect setting to enjoy not only the tranquility of the woods on the Holiday Sleigh Rides but also allows you to take in the lights of many of the campers. Both the resort and many of the campsites and a few cabins will be decked out. Your driver will know the best loops to show off the most festively decorated campsites, and it will be a unique opportunity to get into the Christmas season.

You should have plenty of time for photographs both when you load the sleigh and when you get off. However, pay careful attention to the driver's instructions in regard to using your flash near the horse, and certainly ask permission before you do.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
