Hi moms! Just found out big thunder mountain will be closed during our visit early May. I need a starter coaster for my 40" tall son. He will be 2 months shy of his 3rd birthday but he is fearless, especially with his big brother by his side. HELP!

    Hi Allison!

Big Thunder Mountain at the Magic Kingdom will be closed until May 27th.  I am sorry he won't be able to ride this trip as it is one of my favorites! I have many other suggestions for you.  Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom is very fun as well, and he can sit right next to his brother.  They will get wet on the ride but have a fantastic time.  He would also love driving the cars at Tomorrowland Speedway. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, he could ride Dinosaur.  You sit four in a row in a car going back to to explore and capture a dinosaur.  It is an intense, dark ride and I would recommend putting your son in the middle seat.  At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Star Tours- The Adventure Continues is a simulated attraction with a different adventure every time you go on it.  The Tower of Terror is also a frightening ride that is lots of fun! If he is truly fearless, consider that ride! At Epcot, I would recommend Test Track and Soarin'.  Test Track is a high speed attraction that accelerates up to 65 mph.  Soarin' is one of my family's favorite rides at Epcot.  We never leave the park without riding together.  I would recommend Fast Passes for all of these attractions. Good luck with these new adventures!
