Follow up to TIW. I really don't mind 18% tip.I'm just trying to figure out the benifits of TIW.There r quick serve locations listed (Pizzafari,Flame Tree BBQ,& Restaurantosaurus),& what if I want a drink while traveling around Epcot? 20% off alcoh

    Debbie,

I'm so sorry about the earlier misinformation. I've corrected the previous post, gotten an updated list of Tables in Wonderland restaurants, and had a nice long chat with the TiW office. On the flip side, I am personally thrilled to be educated about more places that accept TiW - more savings!

Here's the scoop: For the few quick service restaurants that do take the TiW card, there is no gratuity added to your meal. You are not required to tip at quick serve restaurants at all, so the 20% TiW discount is pure savings. As for alcohol, the 20% discount does apply to adult beverages served at the restaurants that accept TiW. I often get a glass of wine with dinner at WDW and have always had the 20% discount applied to the drink when using the TiW card. Even better, you can also use the TiW card at many of the bars and lounges that are in or near the TiW restaurants. I myself have used the TiW to obtain a 20% discount on drinks only at the Wave bar and the Top of the World Lounge at the Contemporary and at the Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge.

If you're in the mood to drink at Epcot, you could get 20% off alcohol at the bar areas of several of the restaurants such as the Biergarten and Rose & Crown.

The bottom line is that since the card itself costs $75 (for annual pass holders), you break even if you spend more than $350 using a TiW card at participating restaurants/lounges. My family often spends more than that in a single day of WDW dining.

To see if it works for you, do a rough spreadsheet of how much you typically spend at participating restaurants in a week. If it's more than $350, then i say go for it.
