We are flying in and out of Orlando on Southwest Airlines. We are staying at the Contemporary Resort. Will we be able to print our boarding passes before departing Disney, even though we are flying on Southwest (not one of the check-in service airlines)?

    Hi Beverly,

I have great news all around. Southwest Airlines just recently came on board as one of the airlines participating in the Disney resort airline check-in. It is my understanding Disney began testing this a few months ago, at select Disney World resorts, and as of a few weeks ago, all Disney resorts were now offering Southwest airline guests this option. This means that you will be able to check in your bags with an airport employee, on your departure day and they will be transported to Orlando Airport and delivered to your Southwest airplane without you having to transport them on Magical Express. You would be able to check in and obtain your boarding pass at the same time. Be sure to check the procedures with your resort, as the check-in procedure is only offered for a short time each morning, and the availability depends on what time your flight leaves.

The other important thing to know, especially when dealing with Southwest and the need to obtain that all important A Boarding zone, you can always stop at any Disney resort front desk and they will be able to check you in and print your boarding pass for you. If you happen to be out playing at the theme parks 24 hours prior to your flight, simply stop at the Guest Relations counter at any of the Disney parks or Downtown Disney, and the Cast Member there will be able to assist you. You will still be able to utilize the resort check-in option the following morning, for your bags, if you have obtained your boarding pass already.

Hope this helps! Have a safe trip!!
