Hi Danielle and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I have great news for you! I think you have heard confusing information about two different services the Walt Disney World Resort offers for arrivals and departures from Orlando International Airport.
Disney's Magical Express will transport you from the airport to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel even if you are traveling on Frontier Airlines. If you are arriving between the hours of 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. you will be able to have your checked luggage (marked with yellow Disney's Magical Express tags) delivered to your hotel.
While Disney's Magical Express will handle your journey to and from the airport, Frontier Airlines does not participate in
Resort Airline Check-in and you will not be able to check your luggage for your return flight at your resort. On your departure day, you will have to take your luggage with you on Disney's Magical Express back to the airport. I have frequently left my bags with Bell Services until it was time to head back to the airport.
One more piece of advice for your arrival day- if you have things you may need in your checked baggage, you might want to collect it from Baggage Claim and bring it with you on Disney's Magical Express. If your luggage is being delivered it can take up to three hours to arrive in your resort hotel room. Three hours to have your luggage delivered to your room is magical if you're prepared for it, but sometimes you need to have your luggage right away.
Danielle, thank you for visiting us again with another great question. Please let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
