We’re flying in the day before our reservation begins due to flight days. What time is check in to Disney resorts? Also is there any services that would assist with holding luggage until check in time so that we may enjoy full day at the park?

Hi Danielle! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Oh boy! The countdown is on for your stay at a Disney Resort hotel! There are SO many benefits to staying on Walt Disney World Resort property and I know you will LOVE it! My husband and I had our first stay at a Disney Resort hotel together in 2010 and we have been hooked ever since.

Check-in time for Disney Resort hotels is 3:00 P.M., except for Disney Deluxe Villas where it is 4:00 P.M. I recommend completing Online Check-In prior to your trip and make sure you enter your mobile phone number and estimated time of arrival. By doing so, you can actually receive a text message when your room is ready (often I get this much earlier in the day than 3:00 P.M.!) and you can head straight to your room and use your MagicBand to let yourself in! Suuuuper easy! There has only been one time that I did not receive a text message and had to visit the Front Desk, but check-in was very speedy then thanks to having Online Check-In already completed!

If you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel and your room isn't quite ready yet, Bell Services will be happy to help you out with your luggage. They can hold it for you while you explore the theme parks, then you can either pick up your bags when you return or call and have them bring them up for you. This is a complimentary service, but I always tip the Cast Members that help with my luggage. They are very helpful and kind!

I hope this helps with your arrival, Danielle! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
