We are flying in the day before our cruise and are thinking about staying at the Hyatt at the airport. Do I have to wait till my cruise is paid in full to make a reservation through DCL or can I do it at anytime?

    Hi there, Holly!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited to hEAR that you are going on a Disney Cruise Line vacation!  Get ready for lots of fun and adventure at sea with everyone’s favorite captain, Captain Mickey!

Flying in the day before embarkation is a great idea because it allows you to have a leisurely morning before you head to Port Canaveral for embarkation!  Sometimes we fly in the day of, but I’d much rather fly in with time to spare; we have even been known to head to one of the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks the day before for some extra magical fun!  You can make a reservation for your hotel stay before – or even after – you have paid in full for your Disney Cruise Line vacation.  I recommend reserving your hotel room as early as possible to ensure availability and check one more thing off your to do list!  You can contact Disney Cruise Line directly at (800) 951 – 3532 to add on a hotel room and ground transfers to your reservation.

As you continue planning for your sailing, be sure to visit the Port Adventures page to look through some of the excursions offered for the ports that you will be visiting.  Then when your Online Check – In date arrives (75 days prior to sail date for first time cruisers), you can be ready to make your reservations…and check one more thing off your to do list!

Please feel free to come back with any other questions you may have about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation!

    Happy Sailing!
