    Jason from FL Asked

I am a Florida Resident. I’m going to Disney with my non Florida resident girlfriend. Can I buy my girlfriend a Florida resident ticket or do I have to pay out of state prices for her to enter the park

Hi, Jason! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. It sounds like you have quite a magical trip planned! Now more than ever, it is a great time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Since you are a Florida resident, there are some great discounts on Resort hotel rooms and Disney Theme Park Tickets. The 3- and 4-Day Discover Disney Tickets are extremely popular, so be sure to check them out if you have not already purchased the ticket that you will use. They can even be purchased with the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus option, adding even more magic to your visit.

While you will be able to take advantage of the Florida Resident ticket offers for your ticket, you will need to look at the tickets offered to all guests for your girlfriend since she is not a Florida resident. In order to activate a Florida Resident Disney Theme Park Ticket, proof of residency must be shown for the guest who plans to use the ticket. This can be in the form of a valid Florida driver's license with a Florida address, Florida-issued ID card with Florida address, a Florida-based military ID, or another method as noted on the page I linked.

Jason, once you purchase all of your tickets, be sure to link them to your My Disney Experience account and make FastPass+ selections. These can be made up to 30 days in advance of your visit, unless you plan to stay at a Disney Resort hotel. If so, then you can make FastPass+ selections up to 60 days in advance of your check-in date. Thanks so much for stopping by to chat with us and please let us know if you have any other questions!
