Can a Florida resident buy and gift a annual pass to a non Florida resident for the discounted Florida resident annual pass price?

Hi Emilie, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

What a thoughtful idea to give someone the gift of Disney. I can't think of a better way to celebrate a special occasion than a whole year of fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Emilie, while you may purchase a Florida Resident Annual Pass for someone else, the person who will use the Pass will have to activate it in person at a Guest Relations location at one of the Theme Parks or at Disney Springs. At that point, the Guest will be required to show proof of Florida residency in order to activate the Pass. If your recipient doesn't have the proper documentation, then unfortunately, he or she will be unable to activate the Pass.

But you can still spread some Disney cheer to your friends and family, Emilie! If your recipient is ineligible for a Florida Resident Annual Pass, you might consider giving them Disney Gift Cards in the amount of an Annual Pass. Gift cards can be used to purchase passes, and anything left over can be used all around the Walt Disney World Resort. It's a gift that keeps on giving!

I hope this helps you find the perfect Disney gift, Emilie. Please stop by and see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
