,l I am a Florida Resident anf I was looking at the Discover Disney tickets and I was wondering if I bought 2 tickets, one being for me and one being for a friend that lives in Ohio.Is that allowed because she's not a resident but I'm the one who purchased.

Hi Kara! Great to hear from a fellow Sunshine Stater!

One of my family's favorite things to do is to share our love of Walt Disney World with our out-of-state friends. It's always so much fun to show them how we "do Disney." While you can be an awesome tour guide for your Buckeye buddy's visit to Walt Disney World, you won't be able to purchase Florida resident passes for her. Floridians can buy tickets online, but you need to show proof that you have a Florida address at Guest Services before you can use them.

What you can do is buy the regular Magic Your Way tickets for her and link them to a My Disney Experience account to start selecting FastPass+ experiences in advance. That way you can start planning all the great things you want to do during your friend's visit.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kara. Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
