For Flight of Passage, if we have a DAS pass, and we rope drop to get a return time from the CM at the ride entrance, do we bypass the large crowds forming in the stand-by line and FP+ line? Or would this create conflict among the rope drop queue?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Tamara ~

Those are excellent questions and I'm glad you've come to us for answers! I have experienced first hand the phenomenon of everyone heading to Avatar Flight of Passage as soon as the park opens at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It can be a little chaotic and we tend to hold back a bit. Once they "drop the rope", and begin allowing Guests to enter the Pandora - The World of Avatar section of the park, you can send one member of your party to get a Disability Access Service (DAS) return time. This is preferable so that your whole party isn't blocking the entrance of the queues. You do not have to wait in the FastPass+ entrance to get a DAS return time. You can ask a Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction for the return time. I stand just to the side to make sure I'm not blocking Guests who are trying to enter the queues while I am getting the DAS return time. It usually doesn't take more than a couple of minutes. When the return time comes, you can go back to Avatar Flight of Passage and enter through the FastPass+ service queue.

Keep in mind that everyone in your party will need to be linked to the DAS and this can only be done at Guest Relations. The Guest that the DAS is issued to will need to always be in the front of the party when you return for the DAS return time and will need to scan their MagicBand first. DAS return times will show up in your My Disney Experience so be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app prior to your trip. DAS can be used in addition to Disney FastPass+ service selections.

I'm limited in space but please feel free to visit again with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
