Flight lands 8:34 am. How quickly could we expect to be in park after ME takes us to resort? Daughter's 16th bday. Planned MK (11/17/16) but now MK may be closing at 4:30? Should we pick a different park? Wanted dinner at CRT

    Hi Erica,

Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's an honor to be involved in the planning of such a big day for your daughter!

Generally, I estimate 3-hours between my flight landing time and when I could find myself entering a theme park. That accounts for the time required to take the tram from my terminal to the main building at Orlando International Airport, check-in at the Disney's Magical Express podium, wait for our motor coach to load, potentially make stops at other Resort hotels, check-in at my Resort hotel, and board a bus for my theme park destination. Phew! That is quite a bit!

While theme park hours are not yet released for that date, I checked and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is not scheduled for that night. So while I cannot say for sure, at this point I would expect Magic Kingdom Park to remain open well into the evening. Keep an eye on the theme park hours section of the Walt Disney World Resort website for updates. If that turns out to be the case, you can have quite an unforgettable day from 11:30 A.M until long after the sun goes down. I would go ahead and schedule that magical birthday dinner for your princess at Cinderella's Royal Table!

Also, make sure to pick up a Birthday Celebration button. It is so much fun to hear birthday wishes from Cast Members and other Guests alike as you walk around Walt Disney World Resort.

Come back and visit us as you continue planning your vacation, Erica! We love to help.

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
