Our flight lands at 3:05 pm at MCO. How long will it take to get to PO french quarter via bus? Also we have a reservation at Chef Mickey's at 6:30 on the same day, am I going to have enough time to get to our resort and then to the restaurant?

    Hi Rebecca!

You are getting ready for a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation where you will "let the good times roll" at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter! Disney's Magical Express is a great way to start your vacation because its so nice to start your trip without having to worry about navigation, rental cars, or even your luggage. I always plan three hours between the time our flight lands and the time we are ready to head to our first vacation activity. This allows for time to get off the plane, make our way through the airport, wait for our bus to be ready to depart, travel to Walt Disney World Resort and possible stops that you will make at other Disney Resort hotels before arriving "home" at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.

I like to be conservative with this estimate because it makes sure that we have plenty of time and we aren't stressed or rushing at the start of our vacation. Generally, I recommend one hour transportation time between Disney Resort hotels, in addition to your Disney's Magical Express transportation time. So you could be cutting it close for your 6:30 p.m. reservation at Chef Mickey's. If your trip on Disney's Magical Express takes the full three hours, you would need to take a taxi cab, rather than a complimentary resort transportation bus, from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter to Disney's Contemporary Resort. If you are willing to do that, then I think your plans will be a great start to your trip. Otherwise, you should consider booking dinner a little bit later to make sure you have plenty of time.

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
