Our flight home is not until 9:30pm. We are planning to spend the day at MK and DS until we need to leave for the airport. We are flying on Southwest Airlines and I was wondering if we can check our luggage at the Resort Airline Check-In, in the morning?

    Howdy, Rachel!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

When my family travels to Disney by airplane, we always choose the latest flight home! This gives us a chance to sleep in from all the partying we done with Mickey or to have more fun in the parks!

So, on the day you check-out, you can check your luggage at the resort airline check-in. You will receive your boarding pass and your luggage will be transported to the airport to be loaded onto your flight. Luggage must be checked between 5:00am and 12:00pm noon to be transported.

Also, if you have a carry-on bag that you don't want to have with you while you are in the parks, you can leave that with a bell service at your resort. Once you return to the resort to board Disney's Magical Express, you can pick up your carry-on! If you miss the resort check-in time, you can leave all of it with bell service and load it onto Disney's Magical Express upon departure!

Tip: If you are flying domestic, your departure time for Disney's Magical Express will be 3 hours before your flight time and 4 hours for international flights. So plan to return to your Disney resort no later than 6:00 pm to ensure that you make it to the airport on time.

Enjoy all of the fun and magic that awaits you.
