Our flight arrives in Orlando at 3pm. Should we have time to make our dinning reservations at 5:50pm at the Grande Floridian Cafe?We are staying at the All Star Sports

    Hi Johanna!

You didn't mention in your question what kind of transportation you will be using, so I will give you answers based on a variety of transportation options. If you will be using Disney's Magical Express, I always recommend that you allow three hours time between your scheduled arrival time and when you will be at your home Walt Disney World Resort hotel to allow for time to navigate the airport, wait for your bus to depart and travel to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. If you are planning on using a Disney dining plan during your trip, you will want to stop at the Disney's All-Star Sports Resort lobby to check-in to activate your dining plan and MagicBand pin and make sure you are all set to go. Since you must take Disney's Magical Express to the resort where you will be staying, you will need to get a bus to get from Disney's All-Star Sports Resort to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for your dinner and I would allow 90 minutes transportation time for that trip. So the earliest I think you would want to schedule dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe would be 7:30 p.m. to ensure you aren't starting your trip off by rushing and worrying about your reservation time.

If you are planning on renting a car and driving yourself from the airport to Disney's All-Star Sports Resort and then on to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for dinner, then your 5:50 p.m. dinner is more manageable, but may cut it close. Don't forget that you will still need to make a stop at your hotel to check in before heading to dinner. If you have your own car, your transportation will be more direct and save you some time, but you will still have to account for the time to collect your luggage and get your car. If you are confident you can get through the airport quickly, then you should be able to make your dinner.

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
