If my flight arrives in Orlando at 12:40 pm and I have to check into my hotel (Port Orleans).....what is the earliest dinner reservation in Hollywood Studios could I reasonably make?

    Hi Allison,

A lot of this is subject to chance. You may have perfect timing and jump right on your Magical Express bus and not have to wait long for a Hollywood Studios one either. However, I'll give you a scenario of what I would plan on based on my experience. I like to plan for the longest and be pleasantly surprised when it goes quicker, rather than be stressed about missing a reservation because we hit every possible snag.

When you land at 12:40, you'll venture down to the Magical Express counter, wait in that line, go over to the bus line and wait there. Then you'll ride to Disney and possibly stop at a couple other Resorts before getting to yours. Give yourself 2.5 - 3 hours total for this process. I've had it take as little as 2, I've also spent 3 hours on it. So let's say you'll be to Port Orleans by 3pm at the latest (hopefully sooner). You'll check in and store your bags if your room isn't ready. If it is ready, you may want to go check it out and freshen up a little before heading out to Hollywood Studios. The buses to the parks come every 20 minutes or so. You may have just missed one, so you could end up waiting the full 20 minutes, or you may luck out and one will be coming around the bend! If you are out to the bus stop by 3:30, taking unpredictable buses into consideration, let's say you'll get to the park by 4:30. You have to get through the park to the restaurant and arrive 15 minutes early. Given all of that, I'd make my reservations for 5:15 at the earliest. You may be sprinkled with pixie dust and have everything go smoothly, putting you in the park much earlier. In that event, you can catch a show or jump on a ride while waiting for dinner. I'd rather you be safe than sorry though.

    Have a wonderful vacation,
