My flight arrives in early morning and my check in time at Port Orleans Riverside is at 3pm. Is it possible the hotel will have the room ready before 3pm?

Hello Sonia! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

When my family arrives into Orlando International Airport, it is usually well before the scheduled 3pm Check-In time for Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.

In a couple of instances, we were thrilled to be informed that our Resort Hotel Room was already awaiting our arrival the second we stepped off of Disney's Magical Express at our Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.

In many more instances, we were told that our Resort Hotel room was not yet available and that we would be contacted once it was ready. When this happens, my family has a plan to get the most out of our first "Disney Day". We drop off any baggage we brought with us on Disney's Magical Express at Bell Services and head out to a pre-determined Theme Park or Disney Springs for our first adventure.

I recommend that you make plans outside of relying on your Resort Hotel Room being ready before the scheduled 3pm Check-In time and be pleasantly surprised if things unfold differently.

Be sure to Check-In Online up to 60 days in advance of your vacation using the Online Resort Check-in Service to expedite the process and be informed as soon as your Resort Hotel Room becomes available.

Have a magical stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and be sure to say "hello" to Yehaa Bob at River Roost Lounge!
