Welcome to the Moms Panel Julie!

We're so glad you're hEAR!  I am super excited about your first trip and its sounds like you've planned some really exciting things. Mary Poppins is truly a lovely lady.

I've stayed off property many times and travel in my minnie van whether I'm on or off property.  Here's what I'd do.  I'd park at the Magic Kingdom parking lot.  Take the Resort Monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) to the Grand Floridian Resort.  Its the second stop from TTC and should take you less than 10 minutes once you board the monorail.

After your breakfast, you can take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom.  Its the next stop after the Grand Floridian.  You could also take a water launch (water taxi) from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom.  Its a very relaxing way to travel but I would take the monorail to save time.

You'll need to arrive to check-in at 1900 Park Fare 15 minutes prior to your reservation. I'd also allow 30 minutes on top of that from the time I parked at the Magic Kingdom to get to the Grand Floridian (45 minutes from the parking lot).  I never mind being early and always like a little breathing room.  If you have time to spare, no worries. The Grand Floridian is beautiful and you won't mind spending a few minutes in the lobby. In fact, you may want to go earlier so you can.

Guests with dining reservations are welcome to park at that resort during your meal.  However, if you're not a Guest at that resort, you'll have to move your car afterwards.  For your plans, I think that would waste precious time you could be spending at the Magic Kingdom with your two little princesses.

Please feel free to visit us with any other questions.  We're honored to assist you!  Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
