    Tyece from CA Asked

Hello! We have our first WDW vacation in June 2016. I have 2 daughters 10 and 9. What parks should we visit? We're season pass holders here in CA at Disneyland and love Soarin, Pirates and TOT. Also, can you give more info on Magic bands,

    Hi Tyece,

My family loves Disneyland and it is a different vacation than touring the Walt Disney World Resorts. While I think three days in Disneyland is good, you will need more time to cover Walt Disney World. My guide is one-two days in Magic Kingdom, two days in Epcot and a day each at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Since you are going in June, you may want to add a water park. For this trip, I would recommend one park a day and then either visiting Disney Springs or enjoying your resort.

All four parks are great for your family. I would tour in this order - Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom and then Magic Kingdom. I like Epcot first because its charm is hidden and it is a lot of walking. You can tour Future World and then travel around World Showcase. Agent P has adventures waiting if your daughters like solving mysteries.

One big difference between Disneyland and Disney World is FastPass+ and they are a must for Disney World. In Disneyland, I never waited more than an hour for Toy Story Midway Mania. In Disney World, waits are rarely that short and it can be up to four hours during peak season. The same is true of Soarin'.

Magic Bands are a new way to hold all of the things you will need such as your park tickets, FastPass+ reservations, dining reservations and PhotoPass. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, your room key, charging privileges and Disney's Magical Express is housed here, too. You can select your Magic Bands using My Disney Experience and arrive prior to departure.

    Wishing you a magical day!
    Beth
