First WDW trip - can't figure out if we should stay at Contemporary or Polynesian. We have a toddler with us, can someone help us with tips/which resort might be a better fit?

    Hi Jane!

You can't go wrong either way.  There's no right or wrong answer as both resorts are spectacular.  Both the Contemporary and the Polynesian are on the Magic Kingdom monorail line, providing easy access tot hat theme park; however, you also have easy access to Epcot via a monorail transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

In my opinion, the Polynesian is the most romantic resort at Walt Disney World.  It also has my favorite restaurant:  Ohana.  It also has another great restaurant, Kona Cafe.  You can also watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian.  You definitely can't go wrong with staying at the Polynesian.

The Contemporary Resort is within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom.  There's also something magical about being a resort in which the monorail glides through!  It also has one of the most popular Disney Character Dining experiences at Walt Disney World, which is Chef Mickey's.  However, the theming is more modern than most of the other resorts at Walt Disney World.

If you stay on the Magic Kingdom monorail line, you can easily get from one resort to another.  So I wouldn't let the location of the restaurants necessarily guide you.  I hope this helps!  It's a hard decision.  Good luck, and write back if you have any more questions!
