Hi! This will be our first visit to WDW. We are coming over 4th of July 2016. I am pretty overwhelmed about how to even start planning. I have two girls 8 and 12. My youngest likes Pirates of the Caribbean & oldest princesses. Where do I start?

  • Hi Kellie,

You have come to the right place! It sounds like you have already booked your vacation dates so next you are ready to set an itinerary. Now is the perfect time to create a My Disney Experience account. It is through the magic of this account which you will keep track of your Resort hotel reservations, theme park tickets, dining reservations, FastPass+ selections and much more.

Next you should decide how many days you will visit each theme park. For your first visit I recommend sticking to the four main theme parks and save the other venues for another visit. In particular my favorite park is Magic Kingdom and I recommend visiting this theme park at least 1-2 days. After you have decided which theme parks and how many days you will be visiting each one of them you are ready to make your FastPass+ selections. The choice of FastPass+ selections is up to you and I bet another Mom will chime in with their advice about making your FastPass+ selections.

Since your daughters are interested in Pirates and Princesses you might consider adding a little extra Pixie Dust to your vacation by booking "makeover" reservations for them at The Pirates League and/or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique which are both located in Magic Kingdom. My own two daughters have had makeovers at each place and I couldn't recommend these experiences any higher.

    Blessings,

    Brenda ºOº
