This will be my first trip with my 8 yr old son to disneyworld. what are some great places to visit while at Disneyworld (rides, restaurants, shows, etc.)?

    Hi Calvin!

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!
There are so many amazing things around the parks that a boy of 8 years just cannot miss!
I'll outline as many of them as I can fit into this answer ... and hope to hear back from you if you'd like more detailed info!

For thrills, you just can't beat the Magic Kingdom's Mountain Range (Space, Big Thunder and Splash). Also at the top of the list are Pirates of the Caribbean and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin to name but a few! A new attraction you'll definitely want to try is the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom interactive quest.

At Hollywood Studios, check out Star Tours, Star Wars: Jedi Training Academy and Toy Story Mania. Great shows you just can't miss include Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show and of course the Fantasmic! nighttime spectacular!

In Epcot, Test Track is a 'must do' along with the new (coming this summer) Agent P's World Showcase Adventure interactive experience.

At Animal Kingdom, be sure to experience Kilimanjaro Safaris and enjoy thrills on both Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids.

For great fun while dining, favourites for young boys include the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue dinner show, Whispering Canyon Cafe and of course, good ol' Chef Mickeys!

Consider a fun 'extra' activity such as a Pirate makeover at The Pirates League or enjoy fireworks during swashbuckling tales as you sail the Seven Seas Lagoon for the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.

Wishing you a Magical time with your son at Walt Disney World Calvin!
