Our first trip to WDW is this year in July, I was wondering do all activities, dining, character meets & entertainment require a reservation?

    Hi Valerie!

July is just around the corner and I'm so excited for your upcoming Walt Disney World visit. Thanks for your question--it's a great one. Nothing at Walt Disney World requires a reservation--you can see and do everything you want spontaneously when you arrive if you would like. That said, I would highly recommend planning ahead and scheduling everything about your trip that you possibly can to avoid waiting in lines more than necessary. To get your money's worth, I would highly recommend having at least a few things booked before you arrive.

Here is the best way to go about making plans: create an account on My Disney Experience. Once you have logged in, start adding every part of your magical vacation--Advanced Dining Reservations, FastPass+ choices, Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, MagicBands and much more! My Disney Experience (the website and the smartphone app) makes it possible for you to plan every day and accomplish the most with your time. I think it is the best way to go. Keep in mind that during the busier seasons of the year--usually when school is out--lines could be very long and wait times for Dining as well as Rides and Attractions could limit the amount of things you could do in a day. Planning ahead only takes a little time but could actually save you time in the long run.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope you will come back to see us if we can do anything else to help you with your planning. Here's wishing you a magical Walt Disney World visit.

    Have a wonderful day!
