First trip to WDW with my Grndpa, hubby & two kids (6 & 2). Picking a hotel is overwhelming. Beach Club, Polynesian & Wilderness all look good but can you recommend which is best or any that are better? We plan to visit MK, Epcot, and HS while

    Hi Nicole!

How exciting that you're planning a First Visit to Walt Disney World!

My #1 favourite Walt Disney World resort for amenities and location is Disney's Polynesian Resort. I just love the atmosphere of the entire property. Dining options are amazing, being on the monorail route to Magic Kingdom is a huge bonus with little ones, the Epcot monorail being just a short walk down the pathway is another plus, the volcano themed pool and water slide are fantastic, the dining options are amazing and to top it off - being able to watch the Electric Water Pageant and Wishes fireworks from the beach? Outstanding!

If spending lots of time poolside appeals to you in between days in the parks, then my definite second choice would be Disney's Beach Club Resort. The recreational activities here are second to none. You've got the BoardWalk's shops and dining as well as neighboring Yacht Club dining choices as well. With a location right in between Epcot and Hollywood studios, both of which may be accessed via the 'Friendship' boats, it's also a superior location.

I stayed at Wilderness Lodge just last month and loved it too! However with Grandpa and your little ones in tow, I think you'll find that Disney's Polynesian or BoardWalk are your top options to please the whole crowd.

If you have additional questions to assist you in choosing, please feel free to visit me again Nicole.
I've stayed at all three of the resorts you're torn between and would be pleased to help you further!

Wishing you a simply Magical time as you begin planning your family's vacation of a lifetime!
