First trip to WDW Feb 2017. Confused by fast pass. How do you know what time to select your fast passes for? Just overwhelmed by what fast passes to get & then the timing of them? My daughter is 5, son 2, and my husband loves thrill rides.

    Welcome back, Michelle!

When planning my family's FastPass+ experiences, the first thing I do is to make a list noting our advanced dining reservations and spa service times. That way I can avoid any time conflicts and plan appropriate travel time to get from an attraction to a dining reservation.

The FastPass+ system will allow you to book up to three experiences in one theme park per day before your arrival in one-hour blocks. That means you can visit anytime during that hour to redeem your FastPass experience. Once you redeem your initial ones, you can obtain additional FastPasses one-at-a-time up to theme park closing using the My Disney Experience mobile app or in-park FastPass+ Kiosk.

Here is a sample for your family: At 10 A.M. book your husband for Space Mountain and you and the Mouseketeers for Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. Then at 11:05 you ride Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid as a family before having lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant at noon. At 2:15, your husband and daughter head to Seven Drawfs Mine Train while you and your little Mouseketeer soar with Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Of course, FastPass availability and the height of your Mouseketeers will play into your selections. Be sure to take a look at this Disney Parks Blog Post which highlights attractions by height requirement.

I hope this helps, Michelle. Please let us know if you have additional questions. We are hEAR to help!
