First trip since '84! Thinking of doing Chef Mickey's the day we depart, our flight is not until early evening so we will have a good portion of the day to do something. Is this a totally outrageous idea-with check out--and all? This board is fantastic!

Hi, Elizabeth!  Welcome back to WDW!   You will notice a LOT of changes since your last visit, but all the magic is still there waiting for you!

My daughter and I just returned from WDW a few days ago and had a 5:30 p.m. flight.   It was amazing how much we squeezed in that day!   We got our luggage packed up and dropped it off in the luggage room (we were not checking any luggage on our flight.)   We headed to Magic Kingdom and spent a fabulous morning going on our favorite attractions.    At 1:45 we hopped a bus back to our resort, picked up our luggage and boarded the Magical Express at 2:30 p.m. and headed to the airport.

If you are organized and can keep on schedule, you can certainly have a really fun last day!   Just remember to allow plenty of transportation time and if you are using Magical Express, plan that your pick-up time will be 3 hours prior to your flight.   Enjoy!
