Hi, first trip in Sept 09 to Disney. We are staying at Pop Century and we are relying on the transportation system to get where we need to go. But 2 or 3 of our days are alloted to seaworld and shopping, should we get a rental or do cabs? Not sure!!

    Hi Jacquelin,

Sea World is beautiful and most definitely worth the trip; however, it would be a long cab ride and quite expensive.  Since you want to head offsite to go shopping as well, I think your most economical and convenient option would be to rent a car.

You can actually rent a car on Disney Property.  The Car Care Center near the Magic Kingdom has an Alamo car rental.  You can arrange for shuttle service to pick you up at your resort and drive you to the Car Care Center to pick up your rental.  When you return your car, a shuttle can take you either back to your resort or to a theme park to play for the day.  Call (407)824-3470 for more information.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
