Hi! First trip is planned for July. I have a tall 8 year old who is afraid of most rides (doesn't like heights). She usually goes for "kiddie rides" but sometimes we are told she is too tall for them. Do you have any suggestions for her to go on

Hi Teresa and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
This is a great question and the answer is one of the reasons I love Walt Disney World Resort so much. There are dozens of attractions that your child will love! To my knowledge there are no attractions that she would be too tall to enjoy.  The Disney Parks Blog recently had a great article with graphics about ride height requirements.  You can see that post here. It will give you a good idea of how many great attractions there are for less adventurous travelers.

When you are at the Parks, the thrill rides to avoid for her will be very obvious. For example, they didn't name it the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror for nothing! I also recommend visiting the attractions section of the Walt Disney World website. There you and she can see and read about the attractions to get a better idea of the many wonderful things in store on your trip.

Have fun planning and if you have more questions come on back, we love to help!

    See ya real soon,
    Anne

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
