    Cassandra from NV Asked

Hi there! I have our FIRST trip planned for my family which includes my 1 1/2 year old and my 7 month old, is there any rides size friendly for them?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Cassandra, you’re as welcome as can be to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

First off, congratulations on your first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth with your family! You are going to create so many special memories. Be sure to ask a Cast Member for complimentary "1st Visit!" buttons!

I’m thrilled to report that there are plenty of family-friendly attractions for you all to enjoy together. You can view them on the Attractions page – under “Height,” simply filter by “Any Height” for a list of all the attractions without height requirements. Currently, there are 64 attractions that meet this criteria! Some of my family’s favorite attractions for babies include “it’s a small world,” Casey Jr. Circus Train, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, and Jessie’s Critter Carousel.

In addition to the many family-friendly attractions, there are some fabulous entertainment options for your little Mouseketeers, too! My kids can’t get enough of Disney Junior Dance Party! in Hollywood Land. It’s a great way to let little ones stretch out and dance along with popular Disney Junior Characters, including Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and even Mickey and Minnie Mouse! Plus, the air-conditioning offers a great break for parents, too!

I checked the Entertainment Schedule for your arrival day, and noticed the Main Street Electrical Parade is currently scheduled to make two appearances that evening, including one at 8:45 PM. If your family is able to wait this late, it will definitely be worth it! This 20-minute parade is simply magical… the lights and sounds will delight your whole family!

You’re also going to want to get familiar with the Baby Care Centers, located in each theme park. The Center in Disneyland Park is located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., and the location in Disney California Adventure Park is on Pacific Wharf, just behind Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop. These Centers are the perfect spot to change, feed, and nurse. You can also purchase baby necessities such as diapers, wipes, and formula from the vending-style machines.

Last but not least, when you and your little ones need a break, I recommend a ride on the Disneyland Railroad. It's a great way to take in the magic while resting tired feet!

Wishing you a magical family trip to the Disneyland Resort… may it be the first of many!

My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
