Hello, this is our first trip to Disney World and we are trying to figure out how long we need at each park. What are your suggestions? Do we need a full day at Epcot? Thank you:)

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle!

What a great question as you plan your first visit to Walt Disney World! How exciting!

To be honest, your ideal amount of touring time per park depends on who is in your particular group, what you want to see, how long you'll be there and other plans such as dining reservations. Lots of little ones with you? More than one day in Magic Kingdom is ideal. Fans of animals? A full day in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is a must. Star Wars fans? Stay at Disney's Hollywood Studios from sunup to well past sundown. Fan of international fun, food and futuristic features? Spend a whole day at Epcot.

For my family, we tend to visit each of the four parks for one full day/night, adding a second visit to a park if time allows. Magic Kingdom and Epcot both have so much to do, we love a full day in each. Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios are both undergoing some exciting expansions, so nighttime activities have extended a typical day there to include even more fun.

In short, you can visit any park for a 1/2 day if you need to, however, you'll be able to more fully enjoy each park's offerings and do so at a more leisurely pace if you allow yourselves a full day in each. Because this is your first visit, you'll want to fully immerse yourselves in the magic of each park, taking the time to appreciate details and linger a little longer when unexpected magic appears in the form of street entertainers, a parade, a relaxing snack break or snapping a few family photos in front of iconic backdrops. You cannot do it all in one day, Michelle, so allow plenty of time to tour each park, soaking up whatever fun comes your way; you'll be so happy that you did once you are there!

Send more questions as you think of them, Michelle; we love to help!
