This is our first trip to Disney. We have reservations at Chef Mickey's one morning at 7:30. We will be staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. What is the best way to get to Chef Mickey's that morning? I was depending on WDW buses.

    Hi Holly,

We have never rented a car at WDW and have always successfully relied on Disney transportation.  To get from Port Orleans Riverside, you have a few options:

    1.  Take the Magic Kingdom bus from your resort; once at the Magic Kingdom, you can walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary Resort
    2.  If the Ticket and Transportation bus happens to arrive before the Magic Kingdom bus, you can take it.  Once there, just hop on the resort monorail over to the Contemporary Resort.
    3.  Sometimes, there are character breakfast buses available that may go from one resort to another.  You can check with the lobby's concierge desk at your resort about its availability.
    4.  The most direct option is to take a taxi directly to the Contemporary Resort.

I'd allow at least an hour for travel time just to be safe.

Please let us know if we can help again as your first trip to WDW draws closer!  And have a magical trip!
