our first trip Disney going first Wednesday in June only going for one day to magic kingdom wondering if anyone has advice how to get all the magic kingdom rides, attractions, characters done in one day plan on using fast pass for characters in afternoon??

Hi Scott! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! A first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort and my favorite Magic Kingdom Park is so exciting!

I think that it is wonderful that you plan on taking full advantage of using your FastPass+ entitlements. Remember that you can pre-schedule three FastPass+ times per day. Once you have used all of them, you can schedule an additional FastPass+ time. If you need assistance while you are at the park don’t hesitate to as a cast member of find one of the FastPass+ kiosks located throughout the park.

I will say that I do not feel that it is possible to experience every single attraction, show, and parade that the Magic Kingdom Park has to offer in one day. There are so many variables that will affect how many things you get to experience from weather, to crowds, and even sleepy children. My best advice to you would be to sit down with your family and choose your top 5 must do’s. Work on getting to experience those and then after that choose your next three to five attractions. I have found that when I travel to the Walt Disney World Resort with a schedule that is really packed tight with things to do, my family feels the stress from the hustle and bustle and that makes it less magical. There are so many things that you may not even realize that happen all around the park; so I like to slow down and try to take in all of the magic.

Also don’t worry if you can’t experience everything during your first trip, you can always come back in the future for more fun!

I hope you have a magical and pixie dusted first visit!
