    Desiree from CA Asked

HI! It will be our first FL trip, and being from CA we're at Disney on a regular basis. I know they aren't exactly the same...but could we SKIP the attractions at the Magic Kingdom that are also at Disney, like Splash Mtn or Wishes, to save time?

Hi, Desiree! My husband, children and I have been to WDW numerous times over the years, and we were thrilled when a recent vacation afforded us the opportunity to visit Disneyland in Southern California. We, too, thought that we would just skip over the attractions which were the same or similar to the ones at various parks at WDW. Yet, one of the most fun aspects of the trip was comparing the similarities and differences between the two.  There were some attractions which we deemed better at Disneyland and then, some at WDW seemed better to us.

For instance, we definitely like "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "it's a small world" better at Disneyland. However, there are some differences in other  attractions which gave WDW the "nod" -- some friends from California recently pointed those out to me.  In addition, since there are four parks at WDW and two at Disneyland, there are more Disneyland/California Adventure attractions spread out throughout WDW than just at the Magic Kingdom.

So, definitely hit the attractions that are not familiar to you first, but don't neglect the ones that are similar to ones at Disneyland. You've just got to see "the Florida project's" version, too! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
