Hi! We're first timers to WDW. Our little girl will be just under 3 at that time. We have QSDP. What's the best character dining and does all CD all require reservations? If it requires a res, does that mean its not QS? Also, is she too young for tea?THX

    Hi Cary!

With a 3 year old princess, you might consider Cinderella's Royal Table inside Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom or Princess Storybook Dining in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot.  Both will let your princess interact with Disney Princesses during your meal.

Other good Character Dining Experiences include Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy), breakfast at Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort, dinner at Garden Grill in Epcot, and 1900 Park Fare in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.

All of the Character Dining Experiences are Table Service (full service) restaurants and not part of the Quick Service Dining Plan.  However, you can obviously just pay to enjoy the experience!  Reservations are critical for Character Dining Experiences, and most of the other restaurants at Walt Disney World.  A lot will not take walk ups, especially during the busier times of the year.  Reservations can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

By the way, since you said it's you first time, I highly recommend getting the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It's a great book for first timers with just the right amount of information without being overwhelming.  It's also a beautiful book full of color photographs.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
