First timers visiting September 12th-15th when will the schedule for show times E.g. (Fantasmic or world of color) be posted for September ? when do they have the Halloween décor up around the park? what rides will be down for Refurbishments ?

Hello, Joe! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It's so exciting that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time this fall! The entertainment schedule is usually published about 30-45 days in advance. So for your September trip, I would expect hours and some showtimes to be available around the beginning of August. Keep in mind, that hours are always subject to change and showtimes for select entertainment offerings, like Frozen - Live at the Hyperion, might not populate until 15-30 days prior.

As far as Halloween Time goes, in the past this has usually begun mid-September so there is a chance that the start of Halloween Time will happen during your travel dates. Halloween Time details, including dates for Mickey's Halloween Party, are usually released on the Disney Parks Blog in mid to late summer. That being said, you will definitely see some, if not all, of the Halloween decor around the parks during your trip. The parks are decorated with fall decor, special bunting, and of course plenty of pumpkins and jack-o'-lanterns. If Halloween Time hasn't quite started by September 15th, then you can expect a few attractions to be closed so they can receive their seasonal overlays. This would include Haunted Mansion (becomes Haunted Mansion Holiday) and Space Mountain (becomes Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy). Last year, the attractions in Disney California Adventure Park didn't experience any downtime to receive their spooky Halloween overlays.

If you have any other questions about your trip, please stop by again. I'd love to help you continue to plan your adventure to the Disneyland Resort!
