First timer..... FP and dinners all booked. How accurate are the posted ride wait times if we are going in the non-FP line? Want to make sure we make it to our dinners and other special events such as Caring for Giants on time.

Hi there, Donna! I love a planner, and having your FastPass+ selections and your Disney dining experiences ready to go puts you well on your way to your magical vacation.

In my experience, the wait times that are posted for an attraction are really very accurate. I cannot think of one time where we have waited longer for an attraction than the posted wait time, and I would say in most instances, we may even be five or as many as 10 minutes earlier than anticipated. I really believe that there is an expectation on the part of Disney that guests do have dinner reservation, Fastpass+ attractions, and other things lined up, so they do their best to make sure the timing on things like attraction waits is as accurate as possible. I'm sure things creep up that cause them to be a bit longer than posted, but I would say in my case, it would be the exception.

Did you know that you can find out the wait time for any attraction at any of the Walt Disney World theme parks right in the palm of your hand? If you haven't already, download the My Disney Experience mobile app. You can modify your Fastpass+ selections, add another when you use your initial three, make or change dining reservations, and check attraction wait times, all from your smart phone. It makes navigating the parks and watching you time so much easier.

    Have a wonderful vacation, Donna!
