First time going to WDW and my sons 16th birthday will be Memorial weekend. He likes Star Wars but I don't know what to do? Any suggestions for a teen boy celebration??? Thanks

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Graciela! We're glad you're here.

There's no better time to be a Star Wars fan than now. I have a suggestion for an exciting new way to celebrate your Star Wars-loving son's 16th birthday. Have you considered taking him on the new Star Wars Guided Tour at Disney's Hollywood Studios? This tour offers guests VIP access to all the cool Star Wars-related offerings at that park. Since you'll be visiting during Memorial Day weekend and this is your first trip to Walt Disney World Resort, it would be especially nice to have a VIP Guide help you navigate Disney's Hollywood Studios. Just imagine the fabulous photos you'll be able to get with your son and his favorite Star Wars characters. Be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday button at Guest Services when you first enter Disney's Hollywood Studios. I'm sure Chewbacca will want to give your boy an extra high five or warm, furry hug to celebrate this landmark birthday.

Another fun way to celebrate a 16th birthday is the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Guests must be 16 or older to experience this thrilling off-road Segway adventure. My husband and I took our son on this tour when he turned 16 and he loved it. Most 16-year-olds love any adventure that involves motorized vehicles, I've discovered. If you have the time to spend a half-day at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, I think you'll find that you will both long remember your time exploring the wild on Segways.

Let us know if you need any additional ideas for celebrating your son's birthday. We've got plenty of fun suggestions!

Wishing your son the happiest of birthdays,
    Jill
