FIrst time at WDW for 2 adults at Christmas and cannot decide between POFQ or the Poly, is it really worth twice the price for the Poly? I am running out of time and really stressed out about it!! Please help!

Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World Vacation, Lara! This is a great question! I honestly think you would be very happy at either of these amazing properties! DIsney's Polynesian Resort is categorized as a Deluxe Resort and features spacious guest rooms, tropical theming, great dining locations, and the added convenience of being able to travel to Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, and the other Magic Kingdom Resort via monorail. Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter has a fun, yet relaxing atmosphere and is themed after the historic French Quarter in New Orleans. One of my favorite benefits of staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is being able to travel to Downtown Disney via the Sassagoula River Cruise. To be perfectly honest, if you were traveling with children, I would recommend Disney's Polynesian Resort without a second thought due to the close proximity to Magic Kingdom Park. With that being said, if the room rate at this Deluxe Resort is causing any stress to you then I would recommend staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. While my family almost always stays at the Deluxe properties when we travel as a family, we choose a Moderate Resort when it's just my husband and myself. In fact, my husband and I will be visiting Walt Disney World in January for Marathon Weekend and chose DIsney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. Because my husband and I prefer to enjoy Signature dining when traveling without the kids, we prefer to stay in a less expensive resort which allows us to splurge on recreational activities and fine dining. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with either choice as both offer excellent customer service and the attention to detail that Disney Resorts are known for! I hope this information helps in making your decision. Please feel free to write me back should you have any additional questions.Best wishes for a Magical trip, Lara!
    Happy Planning,
