First Time visiting Disney World, 4 yr girl and 1 yr boy! Dates are Sept. 25 through Sept. 30! Could you help me plan so things that are worth seeing and times, parades, certain dining, parks, we are staying at Corando Springs? Thanks so much!

    Hi Jenny,

As guests of a Disney resort, be sure to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours whenever possible.  Since your children are young, I bet they'll be up and ready to explore the theme parks early each day.  Therefore I'd visit the theme park that offers morning Extra Magic Hours on any given day.  In your case, that means head to the Epcot by 8 am on September 25th, to the Magic Kingdom by 8 am on the 27th, to Disney's Hollywood Studios on the 28th, and to Disney's Animal Kingdom on the 29th.  Arriving early at the theme parks will permit you to enjoy each park's most popular attractions with the shortest wait times of the day.

If your kids take afternoon naps, try to stick to that schedule.  Walt Disney World is so much more fun to explore when everyone is well rested.  Then, after an afternoon break at your Disney resort, head back to the park of your choice to enjoy parades like Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Parade times are posted on the free Times Guides available at your Disney resort and at the turnstiles of every theme park.  If your little ones are still awake, be sure to experience the Wishes fireworks spectacular above Cinderella Castle at least once.  It is AMAZING!

One last bit of advice, be sure to book at least one character dining experience for your family.  Chef Mickey's, Hollywood & Vine (with the Disney Junior characters), and the Crystal Palace are fabulous choices for families with small children. Once you decide which of these experiences most appeals to you, call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations up to 180 days in advance of your stay.

Let us know if you need any extra help as you plan your Disney adventure!
