HI, This will be our first time visiting Disney World. We are celebrating Adoption Day- the day we became a family forever! Any suggestions for a memorable experience for a 6 six year girl to celebrate? -J

    Hi Jennifer:

What a wonderful place to celebrate such a wonderful milestone.  Disney World is perfect for a six year old and her family.  While any trip to Disney World is special, here are some ideas to make the family trip more memorable:

    • Arrange a special character meal, like at Chef Mickeys or Cinderella's Royal Table, where your daughter can meet her favorite characters in a magical atmosphere.
    • If you are staying on property, let the Cast Members know at check-in that it's a special occasion. It's possible the front desk may be able to help arrange some Disney magic.
    • Contact the Dream Makers at Disney Floral and Gifts at (407) WDW-GIFT or (407) 939-4438. If you are staying on property, they can help create a personalized in-room celebration.
    • Consider giving your daughter a princess makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
    • Set sail on the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage
    • Remember to check in at Guest Relations at any Park and pick up a First Visit button.  Many Cast Members will go out of their way to give your family good wishes to make the day more memorable.

    Enjoy your vacation.
