This is our first time travelling to WDW with an infant. Do you have any suggestions or helpful hints? My daughter will be 8 months when we travel in September. I have two older children (6 & 9) and my parents are coming as well (their 1st visit ever!)

We took my grandson to Walt Disney World for his first visit when he was a mere three months old.  It was a wonderful trip and I never once thought he was just too young to be there.

Probably the most important thing for you to bring is the stroller.  The ones with separate infant carriers are best as you can't bring strollers into restaurants but you can bring the infant carrier and set it next to you or on a chair etc.  Remember a small fan to attach too! If you don't want to bring your own stroller be aware the ones rented in the parks are not made for small infants and cannot be taken out of the parks back to the resorts.  You can rent strollers that will be delivered to your resort as well.  Check out www.orlandostrollerrentals.com or call 1-800-281-0884.

Become familiar with the locations of the Baby Care Centers in each of the four parks.  If you need a place to feed, change diapers, or simply rest these are comfortable and cool places to be.  They also carry a limited supply of baby needs from diapers to formula to pacifiers to food so if you forgot something back in the room this is the place to head to first.

The hardest part of taking an infant or small child was the amount of things necessary to have to pack.  We would ship boxes ahead of time so they were there when we arrived.  You can do this as well and make sure you label the box with your name and your arrival date.  Upon check-in ask the cast members to retrieve the box for you.

An even easier way to have the necessary supplies at your resort when you arrive is to use one of the grocery services.  Garden Grocer has a lengthy list of baby needs including formula that you can pre-order on line for delivery to your resort.  You would need to do this ahead of time to assure that you get the delivery date you need.  Check this out at www.gardengrocer.com
