First time traveling to Disney. We will be staying 3 night 4 days, My kids are 8 and 12. We can stay for free, using points, at the Hyatt off Disney property or stay on property. Which is better? On site or off? our main concern is transportation.

    Hi Courtney!

No matter where you choose to stay, a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is going to be magical, but staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel will add even more pixie dust to your trip!

If you choose to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, not only will you get to experience the magical details even when you aren't in the parks, but you will also get some great benefits that will help you make the most out of your time at the Walt Disney World Resort!  Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels can begin making FastPass+ selections 60 days before their arrival, and they get to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours.  Plus, you will receive complimentary MagicBands that you can use during your stay, and you can even take advantage of one of the incredible Dining Plans!

That being said, one of the best things about staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is the complimentary transportation that will get you wherever you need to go throughout the Walt Disney World Resort!  Disney's Magical Express will pick you up at the airport and even take you back when you check out.  During your stay, depending on which Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you choose, you will have access to complimentary bus, water, or even monorail transportation to and from the parks!

Because of all of this, I highly recommend staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and saving your points for another vacation somewhere else!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
