This is our first time planning visiting disney world (we will be in Orlando for 7 days) We are 2 adults and 1 boy of 4 years. Totally clueless which park and how many days to buy tickets for. We for sure want to visit a water park. Could you please advise

    Hi Charlene,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let the dance party begin! How exciting to plan your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.

Since it is you first visit, I suggest that you purchase a Magic Your Way Vacation Package with base theme park tickets to all four parks. You could then add the park hopper plus with water park option. Of course, you can certainly book your theme park tickets and water park tickets separately if you do not plan to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Since there are so many benefits that come with staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, I do suggest that you find one that fits your family's needs. With a Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay, your family will get to make Fast Pass+ selections 60 days in advance and dining reservations 180 days in advance for the length of your stay (up to 10 days).

If you are staying for six nights/seven days, I suggest that you purchase at least five-day tickets. If you follow this plan, you can relax at the resort hotel on one day and visit a water park on another day. Our girls love the pools, so we always plan pool time. After you book your vacation package, start thinking about your advanced dining reservations. We always make them for character meals because these can get booked quickly. Given your son's age, I suggest that you consider reservations for Chef Mickey's, The Crystal Palace, and Hollywood & Vine.

Charlene, I am sending pixie dust your way as you plan a magical trip for your family!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
