This is my first time planning a trip to Disney World. Shooting for February of 2020. My 30th birthday. Any tips?

    Hi Courtney,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to celebrate your birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Let the first visit party begin! First, check the Special Offers to see what discounts come out for the dates of your visit. I would start pricing dates in February 2019 so that you can start to get a sense of the possible cost and the various resort hotel options. My favorite deluxe resort hotel is Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, favorite moderate resort hotel is Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and favorite value resort hotel is Disney's Pop Century Resort.

Once you book a vacation package, watch the calendar dates carefully! At 180 days prior to your arrival date, you can start booking advanced dining reservations. Make these reservations early, especially for popular restaurants like Cinderella's Royal Table, Be Our Guest Restaurant and Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. With a vacation package, at 60 days prior to your arrival date, you can start making Fast Pass+ selections. Keep an eye out for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge!

Finally, decide how you are going to celebrate the actual day. We celebrate my husband's birthday with dinner during the Happily Ever After fireworks at California Grill. Be sure to note the birthday celebration when making dining reservations.

Courtney, take some time to review the Enchanting Extras Collection - pick a special experience just for your birthday. We adore Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room. Most of all, I wish you lots of love and laughter on your special day!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
