This is the first time I will not be staying on property at Walt Disney World, can I still make fast pass selections 60 days out and dining reservations 180 days out? Also will I still get magic bands?

Hello Lisa, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with some great planning questions.

I am so happy to hear that you are planning an amazing visit to the Walt Disney World Resort next year. It is never too early to start planning your next Disney vacation. There are so many perks that come with staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. Some of my favorite perks that come with staying on Disney property are being able to charge food and merchandise back to my resort hotel room and send purchases from Disney Springs and Disney Theme Parks. My family loves to be the first in the park and the last to leave. Extra Magic Hours, when available, allow us to enjoy a few more precious hours of Disney magic.

Any guest with a valid theme park admission ticket, linked to their My Disney Experience account, can select FastPass+ experiences 30 days in advance of their arrival. Only guests of select Disney Resort Hotels with valid theme park admission can make their FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance for the length of their trip. Guests staying on property will also receive a complimentary MagicBand, to unlock the door to their rooms. If you have a MagicBand from a previous visit, you can still use it as long as it’s active on your My Disney Experience account. Any guest can make advance dining reservations 180 days in advance. Guests staying on property can make them for the entire length of their trip 180 days before their arrival. You would need to make your reservations one day at a time. It’s not too late to change your mind and book your stay at a Disney Resort Hotel!

    See ya real soon,
